Peakdale will supply exchem with a new range of speciality chemicals that it developed, based on methylsulphonyl aromatic compounds. The chemicals involved in the deal will be used mainly in pharmaceutical and potentially agrochemical applications. These compounds are of unique properties offering advantages for oral bioavailability.
exchem will scale up production of these compounds in advance, meeting demand requirements. This approach will reduce the timeline for new drug development as well as giving Peakdale the opportunity to guarantee larger scale availability for new materials and enable exchem to be the first to the market with kilo quantities.

QinetiQ have met with exchem organics to discuss a partnership based on supply of technical and marketing information on the production and sale of certain chemical intermediates for use in the life sciences, reprographic and personal care industries.
